A Consistent Love

My love doesn't change. – God

A Consistent Love

The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. – Lamentations 3:22-23 (NLT)

It this modern world many people are looking for security, for safety. Just watching the news is enough to make you want to run and hide. It seems a new unheard of danger pops up at every turn.

Yet many have rejected the one who can help them find freedom from their fears. They reject me as being “old-fashioned,” and look for other solutions.

I’m here to tell you that nothing, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING is as constant as my love.

Consistency breeds security. Employers like employees who arrive on time, every time. Students are rewarded for perfect attendance. Coaches are more likely to play their most consistent player. You shop for the most reliable car or laptop or watch. You like to know you can rely on someone or something to be the same day-in and day-out. In uncertain times this is even more important.

What about me? Can you rely me? My Word says, “He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.” (James 1:17 NLT) and “For I am the LORD, I do not change…” (Malachi 3:6 NKJV)

My love NEVER changes. I love you. I loved you yesterday, I love you now, and I will love tomorrow. You didn’t earn my love and you can’t do anything to lose it.

Following me may not be trendy or hip, but with me as your heavenly Father you can have someone that you can always count on.
