God Is Always With You

I am with you. – God

God Is Always With You

For I hold you by your right hand— I, the Lord your God. And I say to you, ‘Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you.’ – Isaiah 41:13 (NLT)

When you were a child and you were in a crowded mall or amusement park your parents probably held your hand. That way you wouldn’t get lost or separated. Maybe when you went to the dentist for the first time they sat beside you and held your hand, letting you know they were there for you and calming your fears.

My child, as your loving Heavenly Father I am here to hold your hand. When you are hurting, when you are anxious, when the world crowds in around you—I am with you. And I am saying to you, ‘Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you.’ (Isaiah 41:13)

Take comfort in My Presence. Be encouraged and strengthened, because you are not alone.

Some people can’t see me because they do not know what to look for. They expect miraculous signs and wonders, or the heavens parting, or the blowing of trumpets when they are in My Presence. The truth is that it’s in the quietness of your soul that you will find me.

If you need me, call out to me. Slow down and take some time to search for me. I promise when you do you’ll find me. (I’m right here with you.) Sometimes it just takes opening your eyes, your ears, your heart to notice the signs of My Presence.

Catalyst for Spiritual Growth

1 – Choose either the verse above (Isaiah 41:13) or this verse: Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. – Isaiah 41:10 (NLT) write it out in your journal or on a blank piece of paper. Highlight or underline the parts that really speak to you.

2 – When Elijah met with God he was expecting something spectacular, but God came with a still small voice. Read his story in 1 Kings 19:11-15.

3 – Find a quiet, comfortable place where you can be alone. Spent 5 to 10 minutes just thinking about God (meditating.) If you have a thought that distracts you, just note it and then let it come. Come back to your meditation by whispering his name.
