Life and Relationship

Life and Relationship

“And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and you shall be my people.” Leviticus 26:12 (KJV)

You were made to be in relationship with people. You were made to have all kinds of feelings and emotions. I gave you these so you could experience the fullness of life.

I also made you to be in relationship with me. I created Adam and Eve — your oldest relatives — and walked with them each day. I knew them. They knew me. I long to have that kind of relationship with you. I am with you at all times. If you want to have a relationship with me, all you have to do is ask. Call out to me and talk with me. Do it in your mind. Do it out loud. Do it in public or in a private place.

My love for you is immense. It cannot be measured in any way. I will wait for you to ask for a relationship, even if that means I wait all the days of your life. I will wait. Daily I will remind you of my love. You will see my love in the sun, the rain, the snow. You will hear me whisper in your ear. You will see my love for you in the actions of others toward you. Think of me when you see these things happen. Know that I love you.

3 for 3

1. Watch this video about living a life with God.

2. Memorize John 10:10 (MSG):

Jesus told this simple story, but they had no idea what he was talking about. So he tried again. “I’ll be explicit, then. I am the Gate for the sheep. All those others are up to no good—sheep stealers, every one of them. But the sheep didn’t listen to them. I am the Gate. Anyone who goes through me will be cared for—will freely go in and out, and find pasture. A thief is only there to steal and kill and destroy. I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of.

3. Find someone you know and share with them what you’ve learned about God’s love and his desire to be in relationship with you.
