You matter.

You matter.

YouMatter

See, I have written your name on the palms of my hands.  Isaiah 49:16

You get pretty protective over something you’ve put your heart and soul into. When things matter to us, we put them above all else, making them the forefront of our lives. This is how God is with each one of us. His love is boundless and the ways He demonstrates His love are powerful. Did you know He writes our names on His palms? Imagine an inscription, on God’s hands, with your name written. There’s something permanent about that. And beautiful, too. Something that says, “You matter to me” and “I love you” and “I’m never going to let you go.”

Because you matter to God, everything in your life matters to Him also. No matter how big or small it may be, God cares about all of the things you do. He wishes to hear about them and wants to be there for you in every aspect of your life. He wants you to know that you are important to Him and that you are loved by Him.

Do you truly believe that? Do you know that God cares about your thoughts and your worries, your choices and your actions? That God cares about your life? He knows the number of hairs on your head. He knows the dreams and aspirations you have for your life. He believes in you, He wants what’s best for you, and He’s chosen you for greatness, because you matter to Him.

Challenge: Just as you matter to God, each person you encounter should matter to you. Do you treat others with this knowledge? That the God you serve has each person you meet written on His palm, too? Look up these verses: Job 36:5, Isaiah 49:16, John 10:14-15. Let them speak to your heart. Set aside your differences for the people you don’t get along with, the ones you don’t like, the friends who’ve betrayed you, or those who’ve wronged you. No matter how you see them, they matter to God. He looks upon them in love, and tells you to follow His example.
