You’re Precious To Me!
I want you to know my love. I want you to know it the way my follower Paul did. He knew it at its heights and in the depths. He knew the width and breath of it.
He was in prison many times because of his faith in me. Once he was brought to Rome and left under house arrest for two years. That didn’t separate him from my love. His traveling companion wrote, “He bravely preached about God’s kingdom and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ, and no one tried to stop him” (Acts 28:31).
In fact when he wrote the letter to the church in the book of Ephesians he was in prison. You may wonder how he can say something like, “I want you to know all about Christ’s love, although it is too wonderful to be measured.” This after being in prison, ship-wrecked, beaten, and thrown out of several towns.
See, Paul knew me. He didn’t see his experiences as the world sees them. He knew a deeper truth, that he was precious to me. He allowed my love to fill him up until he was overflowing with it. That changed everything.
I want you to know me this way too. To know with your whole being that I love you and care for you and am with you through whatever may happen in your life. Be filled with me, with my love, and let it overflow in your life.
3 for 3
1. Read Ephesians 3:17-19. How can your life be filled with more of God?
2. Watch this video, and consider that God’s love is even taller than the tallest tree, deeper than the deepest ocean, wider than the biggest desert.
3. God loves you more than you can understand, and he wants to pour his love into your life. Invite him in today. Daily come back to him and ask him to fill you with his love.
