TIRED OF ALL THE BAD NEWS? TRY THIS…

"Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the Good News I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand." 1 Corinthians 15:1

It's hard not to get overwhelmed by the bad news these days. All you have to do is turn on the television or open up social media and within seconds you will be overtaken by story after story of dreadful news.

War.
Famine.
Sickness.
Death.
Pandemic.
Hate.

It's as if the world has been overtaken by Satan. And in many ways, it has. Sin has entered the world and Satan does lurk like a roaring lion — seeking to devour anyone in his path.

I have told you before… in this world you will have trouble. But take heart!

I have overcome the world… and I have Good News!

My Good News is this...

I love you.
I created you.
I have a purpose for you.
I have a future for you.
I have forgiven you.
I am redeeming you.
And because of my Son... Jesus... who defeated sin...

You do not need to live in fear any longer.

Any time you feel as if the world is caving in...

Whenever you are struggling to find encouragement, hope, or joy...

If at any point you feel like you can't take the darkness or despair the world has to offer...

Turn off the television...
Shut off your phone...
Turn down the radio...
Open your Bible...
And remember my Good News.

My news is not like that of the world.

My news is full of joy, forgiveness, and peace.

My news is like cold water to a thirsty soul.

My news is centered on Jesus... my Son.

He died for you.
He rescued you.
He saved you.
And now you have the opportunity to live in peace with me!

Today... you have a choice.

Are you going to be overrun by the bad news of the world?

Are you going to live in fear and sadness?

Are you going to run and hide because of all the bad you are hearing?

Or are you going to believe, trust, and hold on to my Good News?
