THIS IS HOW I SEE YOU…

"The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart" 1 Samuel 16:7

I'm sure you have notions of who you really are.

Deep down.

The real you.

The thoughts may come late at night, after a long, hard day, full of trials and tribulation.

You may look at yourself in the mirror and beam with pride, or maybe it's more self-loathing.

Maybe you feel like you are handling life well. You have deep thoughts of accomplishment and success. You carry a sense of hope and joy.

Or maybe those feelings tend more toward rejection, inadequacy, and shame. Hopelessness washes over you as you prepare for another day.

However you see yourself, let me ask you this…

Is it accurate?

Are you seeing the real you?

You might not even be able to recognize it these days... who you really are... who I made you to be.

After all, the world loves to tell you lies. The world loves to build you up or tear you down.

Seldom is it based on truth.

But take heart...

I don't see you the way the world sees you. In fact, I may not even see you the way you see yourself.

I see you for who you really are.

How I made you.

And remember, I don't look at your outward appearance. That is not my concern. No, you are more than that. So much more.

I see you for who you really are... unique and wonderful and just the way I created you.

I see past the lies… the ones you tell yourself and the ones that are heaped upon you.

I see you and I love you.
