WHERE IS GOD?
“God keeps an eye on his friends, his ears pick up every moan and groan.” – Psalm 34:15 (MSG)
At times, your circumstances have caused you to wonder if I’m really there. Overwhelmed by strong emotions—grief, sadness, anger, frustration—you can think that I’ve forgotten about you or that I don’t care. But don’t give in to these lies. I will never leave you.
You are loved. I love you with a great and unending love. Because I love you I have always kept a watch over you. Even when life seemed difficult, or impossible, I’ve been there for you.
When you begin to understand the depth of this love, you will better understand my plan for you, and you’ll be able to see my hand at work in your life.
Remember I have promised, nothing can separate you from my love—not life or death, not angels or spirits, not the present or the future, and not powers above or powers below. Nothing in all creation can separate you from my love for you (Romans 8:38-39).
When you call out to me for help and comfort, I will give you my peace—a peace you can’t understand and a calmness that can’t be explained. Don’t give up on me. I am closer than you think.
No matter what you are facing, I’m here for you.
If sadness surrounds you and everything feels like it’s about to crash down on you, I am with you, in the midst of it all. I won’t give you more trouble than you can bear. I’ll carry the load if you can’t. And when you’ve reached your limit, I’ll carry you, because I love you that much.
