NO ONE CHANGED THE WORLD BY HIDING IN THE DARKNESS.

"You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness." 1 Thessalonians 5:5

In the beginning, I created the heavens and earth. And I created light. Bright, beautiful light.

I separated the light from the dark. And it was good.

I still remember that day. As the light broke through the void. The warmth it brought. The clarity. The beauty.

I declared it was good… and it still is.

My child, you are called to live in the light. That is my will for you. To step out of the darkness. Out of your sin. Out of your secrecy. To live boldly and brightly for me.

Yet you still hesitate. Why is that?

Are you afraid of what might be uncovered? What the light might expose? Are you afraid of the attention, or the condemnation, as you step out of the shadows? That someone might see you for who you are — with all your faults and brokenness?

I know how you feel. I know what you’re hiding. I know the light is beautiful, but also dangerous.

The darkness can feel safe. You can hide yourself. You can hide your sins. Or so you think.

But nothing good ever comes from hiding. No one changed the world from the dark corners of obscurity.

Today, I give you a choice...

Do you want to hide, or do you want to live?

Do you want my grace and peace and hope and power?

Do you want to be used to share my love with the world?

Then join me in the light. Fully. Step out in faith. Give me everything. Hold nothing back. Be a child of the light - faithful, forgiven, and forever mine. Let me guide you. Let my light shine in every part of you.

Give me those dark places. Those hidden sins. Those broken pieces. Confess them to me. Let me work in those areas, bring healing, and bring hope.

You are the light of the world. A city on a hill. Don’t hide that light. Don’t cover it up.

Let it shine brightly today!

— God
