BE CAREFUL. YOUR WORDS HAVE POWER.
“Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.” Ephesians 4:29
Believe it or not, your words have power. They can lift up. They can cut down. They can point people to me. Or they can drive them away.
It is so easy to let loose. To speak your mind. To share your heart.
But let me ask you....
Do your words heal or cut deep?
Do they build up or break down?
Do they bring life or usher in death?
I already know the answer. I know you do as well.
I understand. It's so easy to let loose when you're angry. To speak your mind when you are fed up or frustrated. To tell others how they have hurt you. How they have fallen short. How they have messed up.
But trust me… you don't want to be one of the many voices in your world today who bring such division and strife.
You want to speak life, love, truth, and hope.
And you can!
Take time today to search your heart. Be quiet for a while and listen for my Spirit… my guidance... my words.
I will guide you, if you let me.
I will give you the words of life, the words of hope, the words of healing, and the words of peace.
And together, we will build others up according to their needs, that we may benefit and bless those who listen... and point them back to me.
