DID YOU HEAR ME CALL OUT TO YOU TODAY?

"The Lord takes pleasure in His people." Psalm 149:4

In the quiet of the morning, I called out to you. Before the busyness of the day, I whispered your name.

Did you hear it? How did it make you feel? Happy? Afraid? Unsure?

Did you think I was calling out to punish you, or to bless you? To tell you I love you, or to tell you I'm displeased with you?

Let me tell you the truth...

I call out to you because I love you, I like you, I take pleasure in you, and I want to be with you.

But you are not so sure.

There are days when you do not believe I like you; days when you are convinced I do not take pleasure in you.

But listen to me....

When I look at you, I see my Son in you. Because of Him, and His sacrifice, you are now my wonderful, adopted, beloved child. And I love all my children.

I am not the great punisher you have heard about. I am not out to get you or distroy you. You are not my enemy. You are my beloved.

So stop looking for me over your shoulder. Stop fearing my presence. Beyond anything you could do, I love you. I always will love you. My love is perfect, and there is no fear in perfect love.

In you, I am well pleased.

Don't ever forget that.
